Keyword for MUJI Nourish
After gathering a collection of keywords, I proceeded to sketch various logo
concepts for the campaign named "MUJI Nourish." Throughout the design
process, I sought to capture the essence of MUJI's minimalist and natural
philosophy, as well as the concept of nourishment and health, within the
logo designs.

Following that, I transitioned into the digitalization phase, aiming
to further explore and refine the logo concepts based on the initial
sketches. Through this process, I delved deeper into the designs,
experimenting with different digital tools and techniques to bring the ideas
to life.

Logo Digitalize Version 1
After consulting with Ms Lilian, she suggested that I shorten the handle
and move the lid handle slightly to the right so that it is aligned with
the leaf pattern in the same direction. At the same time, she also
suggested that I consider whether to remove the Tagline because it is
too small to see, so I made one more version to remove the tagline.

Feedback
Week 7- Slide Task 2
During our discussion, Ms LiLian pointed out that my website design sketch bears some resemblance to the main brand design. She advised me to be cautious and always keep in mind that I am working on a campaign for MUJI. Furthermore, Ms LiLian mentioned that the slide application section of my Task 2 appeared a bit cluttered. Therefore, she suggested making some adjustments and emphasized the need to include more elements in the Moodboard.
- Task 3
Regarding my logo, Ms LiLian found it to be quite unique. She recommended aligning the leaf pattern in the same direction and advised against placing the eyes inside the logo, as it deviates from the direction of a mascot logo. Based on her feedback, I decided to remove the eyes. In terms of the recipe, Ms LiLian appreciated another sketch where I depicted the step-by-step process of food preparation on the right side and listed the ingredients and total painting on the left side.
Week 9- In relation to the logo, Ms LiLian expressed her concern that the tagline appears too thin and small. In light of this feedback, I suggested removing the tagline altogether to improve its overall appearance. Additionally, Ms LiLian mentioned that the handle of the pot in my logo could be made shorter, and she recommended slightly adjusting the position of the lid handle towards the right. She emphasized the importance of being cautious not to use the logo in the wrong colour. Furthermore, she pointed out that this is an area where I need to be particularly careful, taking into consideration the space surrounding the logo.
Week 10- According to Ms LiLian, certain social media posts have lengthy articles that should be condensed. She explained that many people tend to avoid reading lengthy content, so she suggested separating the sentences and distributing them across multiple posts. This approach will help capture their attention. Additionally, if there is too much content to cover, she recommended including a QR code in the last post for users to scan and learn more.
For videos, Ms LiLian advised incorporating some information from MUJI Nourish towards the end. This way, the video will remain engaging and prevent it from becoming monotonous.
Week 11- Ms LiLian and Adeline provided feedback regarding the colour adjustment in my video, suggesting that some minor tweaks are needed. In terms of the banner, Ms LiLian recommended removing the drop shadow to achieve a cleaner and simpler look. Moving on to the recipe cover, Ms LiLian pointed out that the frosted glass element in the middle appears redundant, and she advised removing it to maintain a clean aesthetic.
Regarding the website recipe section, Ms LiLian suggested adding a button to enable users to download the recipe link conveniently.

Reflection
Experience
During the initial stages of Task 3, I found myself faced with uncertainty and a sense of disorientation as I determined the direction of the design. It was a challenging phase where I had to carefully analyze the requirements and align them with my creative vision. The application and event proposal provided crucial insights that helped me gain a clearer perspective and set a solid foundation for my design decisions.
As I delved deeper into the design process, I realized the immense importance of paying attention to even the smallest details. Every element and element placement needed to be meticulously considered to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing design. I quickly understood that repeated inspections and revisions were necessary to achieve the desired outcome. Each time I reviewed my work, I discovered new opportunities for improvement and refinement, ensuring that every aspect of the design was thoughtfully executed.
Observation
Throughout the assignment, I had the opportunity to observe my classmates at work, and I was truly impressed by their design styles. Many of them demonstrated a powerful and distinct aesthetic that effectively communicated their ideas. One aspect that stood out to me was how some of them seamlessly integrated various elements into their website designs. They skillfully incorporated product explanations, engaging visuals, and intuitive navigation, creating immersive user experiences. Witnessing their work served as inspiration and motivated me to explore innovative ways to elevate my own designs.
Finding
An intriguing aspect of the design process was the discovery of references. Exploring the works of other designers provided a wealth of inspiration and ideas that I could draw upon to enhance my own applications. I actively sought out references from various sources, such as design blogs, online galleries, and industry publications. These references served as touchstones, helping me establish a clear design direction and informing my creative choices. They provided valuable insights into effective design principles, visual aesthetics, and user experience considerations.
Furthermore, the process of finding references allowed me to plan my design approach methodically. I meticulously studied and analyzed different design elements, layouts, colour palettes, and typography choices from the references. By breaking down these references into key components, I could then integrate them into my own design framework. This systematic approach helped me prioritize and organize my design elements, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious final result.
In addition to references, seeking feedback from peers and mentors played a crucial role in refining and improving my designs. Their valuable insights and fresh perspectives challenged me to think critically and consider alternative approaches. Constructive feedback allowed me to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to enhance the overall quality of my designs. Collaborating with others in this way fostered a collaborative and growth-oriented mindset, which I believe is essential for continuous learning and development as a designer.
Lastly, I recognized the importance of staying updated with the latest design trends and techniques. Regularly exploring design blogs, attending industry events, and engaging in online design communities helped me stay abreast of current practices. This knowledge empowered me to create designs that not only met the project requirements but also resonated with the target audience and aligned with industry standards.
Overall, this experience provided valuable lessons in design, fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of careful planning, attention to detail, continuous learning, and seeking feedback in creating impactful and visually captivating design solutions. It was a journey of growth, creativity, and refinement that will undoubtedly shape my future endeavours as a designer.
