Task 1

Interactive AR Application

3 Filter Research

1. Cat-watching filter (Snapchat)
Investigate Facial Recognition Technologies: Explore facial recognition technologies and algorithms. These technologies can help you detect facial features in images or videos, such as eye positions. OpenCV is a popular computer vision library that provides various functionalities and algorithms for facial recognition.

Learn Image Processing Techniques: Study some basic concepts of image processing, such as how to read, modify, and save images. Understand how to locate and extract regions of interest, such as eyes, in an image.

Choose Object Recognition Approach: Determine the method you want to use for object recognition. You can utilize machine learning-based image classification models, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs), to identify the positions of objects.

Develop an Object Recognition Model: Prepare a dataset of images that contain the object you're interested in and label the positions of the eyes. Train an object recognition model using this dataset to accurately detect and locate the object's eyes.

2. Pokemon Type
Existing Filters: Research and analyze existing Pokémon-themed filters on TikTok. Explore filters that involve type effects, such as changing a Pokémon's type or displaying type matchups. Note the design, user engagement, and popularity of these filters.

Pokémon Types and Matchups: Study the Pokémon type chart and familiarize yourself with the different types and their respective strengths and weaknesses. Understand how type matchups work and how they impact battles in the Pokémon games and lore.

Technology and Tools: Investigate the technology and tools used for creating AR effects on TikTok. Research the capabilities and features of the TikTok AR effect creation platform and any associated APIs or SDKs that may be relevant to developing Pokémon-themed filters.

User Demographics: Examine the user demographics of TikTok to understand the target audience for Pokémon filters. Determine which age groups or regions show the most interest in Pokémon-related content on TikTok.

Social Media Analysis: Analyze social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, to identify popular Pokémon content creators or influencers. Explore the types of Pokémon content they create and the engagement they receive from their audiences.

Trend Analysis: Monitor TikTok trends and hashtags related to Pokémon or AR effects. Identify any emerging trends or popular challenges that involve Pokémon filters or type effects. Track the engagement and viral potential of these trends.

3. Cheese Game
Gameplay Mechanics: Investigate and analyze the gameplay mechanics of the Cheese Game effect house. Understand how the cheese drops from the top, and players need to open their mouths to catch it. Note any additional gameplay elements, such as timers, levels, or power-ups.

Popularity and Virality: Determine the popularity and virality of the Cheese Game effect house on TikTok. Search for videos featuring the game and examine their view counts, likes, comments, and shares. Identify any influencers or popular creators who have participated in the trend.

User Engagement: Analyze user engagement with the Cheese Game effect house. Look for TikTok videos that showcase high scores or skilful gameplay. Evaluate the comments and reactions from users to gauge their enthusiasm and enjoyment of the game.

Participation and Challenges: Investigate if there are specific challenges or trends associated with the Cheese Game effect house. Search for related hashtags and explore the content created around them. Note any creative variations or unique challenges within the game.

3 Ideas for AR Interactive
Ninja Fruit
In this small game, the player's nose will have a sword, and then all the fruits will fall on it, and the player's task is to cut these fruits, in the end, the player will get points and can compete with other players' scores Compare.

Pokemon 2D/3D AR Effect
It's a 2D effect/3D effect, my idea is to draw an elf sleeping on our head, then we blink and the elf will wake up on our head

Mini Games
In this game, the player must control a jumping character, avoiding obstacles and jumping onto as many platforms as possible. Players can control the height and distance of the jump by tapping the screen, and the game's difficulty will gradually increase over time. Eventually, players are awarded points and can compare them with other players' results.

Randomly decide what to eat for dinner today
This is a random lottery. When the player doesn't know what he wants to eat for dinner tonight, he can use this filter to decide. First, a roulette wheel or a banner will appear on the player's forehead. The player blinks to start spinning. When the player wants to stop you can just blink again

After receiving feedback from Mr Razif, he suggested that I create a mini-game filter and recommended incorporating the theme of the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) into the filter. Taking his advice into consideration, I have decided to develop an immersive mini-game filter inspired by the excitement and spirit of the SEA Games.

Progression In Drawing
So I will start to find more research about the Sea Games, and then I find one of the sports Sea Games which is the Marathon. Why I choose Marathon because I found a piece of interesting news from Marathon.

Below is the news that I feel is very interesting

After doing the research for my filter, I draw the assets that I need to use it in Effect House.
Below are my assets that I draw:

Feedback

Week 2
Mr Razif suggested that I create a mini-game filter and recommended incorporating the theme of the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) into the filter. Taking his advice into consideration, I have decided to develop an immersive mini-game filter inspired by the excitement and spirit of the SEA Games.

Week 4
Mr Razif suggested that I can Head Movement Dectaction to replace the screen tap, so look better and make people fun too.

Week 6
Mr Razif suggested I put the title after the game started, and he also tell me to consider removing the timer and also putting the short information so that the player knows is need to shake their head to move it.
