Task 2- Logo

Instructions

Project 2A

We were instructed to do 28 logo analyses of various brands. We must complete two per day for two weeks.

Here are the 28 logo analyses I completed:

Project 2B

In order to easily understand what Quality SkyPrint means, our task is to create a logo for Quality Sky Print. First of all, we have to make a mind map to simply analyze Quality SkyPrint.

Here's this week's mind map and some sketches.

Digital Logo

After designing my logo, I tried different typefaces and saw which one would be more suitable for the current logo.

Typeface Attempt 1 (Azonix)

Figure 2.2
Typeface Attempt 2 (OCR A Extended)

The feedback I received from Ms LiLian is that the font of my first attempt is very suitable for this logo, but the font of my second attempt is not very suitable for the current logo design because the font is too 3D, then my logo is stereoscopic so it is not suitable.

Then I try to typographer the logo, whether it is vertical or horizontal.

Figure 2.4 Horizontal Logo

The feedback Ms Li Lian gave me is that my logo is suitable for horizontal, but I still need to modify some places, that is, my logo is a bit larger than the font, and the laser-cut pen in the logo needs to be shorter. Then the SkyPrint of Quality SkyPrint is connected together, so it is necessary to show that the two words are separate.

Below is my final outcome of the digital logo.

After receiving the feedback from Ms Li Lian, I start rationalizing the space for the logo.

Feedback

Week 3
General Feedback
I need to sketch more of the logo, 20 logos still less, still need to increase the sketches logo.

Specific Feedback
Ms LiLian said that my logo also contained my type, so he told me to continue to improve this kind of logo and I need to say include more of the meaning inside the logo.

Week 4

Specific Feedback
Overall my sketch logo is nice, so need to choose one of the logos that I design and start to design it.

Week 5
General Feedback
Need to be careful when designing the digital.

Specific Feedback
The feedback I received from Ms LiLian is that the font of my first attempt is very suitable for this logo, but the font of my second attempt is not very suitable for the current logo design because the font is too 3D, then my logo is stereoscopic so it is not suitable.

Ms Li Lian also gave me the feedback that my logo is suitable for horizontal, but I still need to modify some places, that is, my logo is a bit larger than the font, and the laser-cut pen in the logo needs to be shorter. Then the SkyPrint of Quality SkyPrint is connected together, so it is necessary to show that the two words are separate.

Week 5
General Feedback

Specific Feedback
Incorrect identification of logotypes (pictorial mistaken for monogram). Otherwise, generally able to research and analyze selected logos to a satisfactory level. Do document your mindmaps. Room for improvement in the documentation of the process taken. Do adhere to the given format for submission (typesetting for description in uppercase, no additional line, etc.). The logo set too large in response to the rest of the page dimensions. Space rationalization reflects poor understanding despite the given measurement component as some indicated measurement is not needed while none is given for that which is needed. The logo strapline is incorrectly presented. Measurements can benefit logo minimum size. Generally acceptable but requires more understanding of the finer details of logo design. The first appearance of the gif frame is too sudden and does not reflect the service well.
