On Friday of the first week of IVN, our first semester lecturers, Ms Norannis and Ms Janniffer explained to us the IVN Times system such as IVN introduction, contact information, MIB, and homework there. After Ms Norannis explained, she started to show us the animation lessons of previous students. After that, the theme of our comics this time was horror. After Mr Norannis said it, many horror stories popped into my head.

After that Mr Norannis give us a mission to draw a draft for character design.

CHARACTER DESIGN
2 SEPTEMBER 2021(WEEK 2)

Today is the second week of IVN. On the way to class, Ms Noranis asked about our favourite role. After everyone wrote about the characters they liked, she explained that by designing a character, we must take into account the characteristics and uniqueness that can be recognized in the eyes of others.

Next, Ms Noranis explained to us some principles of character design, such as; shape, colour, emphasis and contrast, harmony, expression/posture.

After the explanation, Ms Noranis started to give us feedback on the draft of the character. When I was there, I explained the two characters I designed to two lecturers Ms Norannis and Ms Janniffer.

After finish given feedback, Ms Janniffer start teaching us using AI to digital our character and told us we can start to digital our character.

BOWOODO STORY

FIGURE 1.9 BOWOODO

BOWOODO are the elves in the forest. They look like a tree. They are good at hiding and are kind-hearted elves. A long time ago, they were the overlord of the forest and a race of many elves, but humans didn’t like them and treated them as enemies and hunted them because there used to be a group of children who went to play in the forest, and they were in it at night. Lost, and while getting lost, they were also attacked by wolves. At that time, BOWOODO, the elves of the forest, jumped out to save the group of children. When they were about to send the children, they were misunderstood by humans that BOWOODO was attacking them. From then on, there will be no harmony

FIGURE 2.3 DIGITAL CARD DESIGN

When I design the card, it was a bit challenging because it needs to open a lot of layers and need to line it nicely but a last I finally complete it.

Total layers 28

PROGRESSION

FIGURE 2.5 FRONT

FIGURE 2.6 BACK

I use this shape and color to make the whole card feel noble. I chose white because white means justice, purity, dignity, integrity, youthfulness, transcendence and worldly emotions. White represents purity and symbolizes holiness and elegance. The symbolic meaning of white in Western culture mainly focuses on its own colors, such as the colors of new snow, fresh milk, and lilies. Westerners believe that white is elegant and pure, so it is the admired color in Western culture. Then I used dark blue as the theme color for the whole card because blue represents tranquillity, freedom, and freshness, and Europe is a symbol of loyalty to the country.

FEEBACK:
The front card box needs to make smaller, make sure not to cover the character so much, the word needs to make it closer, back view need make a gradient, it's too white.
